India have been undefeated in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 and today we take a look at who could be their top bowler at the end. The tournament being hosted in the United States and West Indies has seen a major change from the usual high-scoring T20 cricket as bowlers have held the cards with batters struggling to find big scores.
T20 World Cup 2024, which began on June 1st, has been highly chaotic as three of the four semi-finalists from the previous edition – England, Pakistan and New Zealand – find themselves on the verge of elimination in the group stage itself. The co-hosts USA, playing their first ever World Cup, stunned Pakistan and now have a great chance of reaching the Super Eight stage.
Moving on to our today’s topic of discussion, India have won three out of three games and have secured their spot in Super Eight. India sit at the top of Group A, having defeated Ireland, Pakistan and the USA. With India set to play at least four more games, we take a look at the contenders who could be the top bowler for India in the T20 World Cup 2024.

India will be up against Canada in their next match of the T20 World Cup 2024 at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Lauderhill on Saturday. India are favourites to win the match by some margin and have the odds of 1.025 on Parimatch.
The men in blue kicked off the tournament with an eight-wicket victory over Ireland before edging past Pakistan by 6 runs in a low-scoring thriller. In the third game against USA, India were in trouble while chasing 111 but a fifty from Suryakumar Yadav took them home.
India have an outstanding bowling attack which could be too hot to handle for Canada and the batting unit should do better now that they have moved out of New York.

The young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi had his opportunities in T20 internationals and he did a decent job but a poor IPL campaign meant that he lost his place. Bishnoi took 20 wickets from 14 innings at an economy of 7.8 and strike rate of 16.5. India’s premier all-rounder Hardik Pandya has been excellent during this period, picking 18 wickets from 14 innings at an economy of 6.8.
Axar Patel has played 17 international T20s since the start of the last year and has taken 18 scalps at an economy of 6.72 with best figures of 3 for 16. Kuldeep Yadav, who has been benched in the tournament so far, has had a good time in T20Is with 15 wickets from 10 innings at 6.35 rpo while striking at every 13.5 deliveries.
Who will be India’s best bowler in T20 World Cup 2024?
India have played three games in the T20 World Cup 2024 so far and their bowlers have been magnificent. Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya are leading the chart for the most wickets with seven scalps each while Jasprit Bumrah is third with five wickets.
As per the bookmakers, the top three contenders to be the top bowler for India at T20 World Cup 2024 are Arshdeep, Bumrah and Pandya in that order.
The left-arm seamer Arshdeep has made the most of the conditions and done well with the new ball. He took 2 for 35 in the first game against Ireland, and bagged his career-best T20I figures of 4/9 versus the USA. You can bet on him to be the top India bowler at the odds of 1.90 on 22Bet.
India’s leader of the bowling attack, Bumrah has been sensational with the ball this year. His five wickets in the tournament have come at an economy of just 4.06, with the best figures of 3 for 14 against Pakistan. Bumrah has the odds of 2.70 on 22Bet to be the highest wicket-taker for India.
Hardik Pandya has yet again shown why he is such a key asset to this Indian team. He snared 3 for 27 against Ireland before returning with 2 for 24 versus Pakistan. He continued his form against the USA, picking 2 for 14 in four overs. Pandya has 4.50 odds on Parimatch to be the top India bowler.
Among others, Axar Patel has taken three wickets and 26.00 odds. But as India are set to play on the more spin-friendly pitches, he can’t be ruled out of the race.
